Blog

Artist Miljana Radenković’s exhibition can be seen in the Gallery of the Belgrade Fortress in the Inner Stambol Gate, starting from 7 October to 11 November, every day except Monday. The working hours of the Gallery are from 11 am to 7 pm, and the entrance is free.

Through this exhibition, entitled Target, the artist attempted to communicate, to the audience, her affinity towards analytical thinking in the process of contemporary design of graphic structures, while her communication skills, skills of successful balancing between content and form, inventiveness, and impressive performance, once more took centre stage.

An exhibition such as this, at which graphic design is shown outside of a profitable context, is a true rarity on the domestic art scene. The young designer Miljana Radenković feels the need to express herself in a new series of works, remaining true to her specific visual rhetoric, minimalist expression, and analysis of emotions that the artist is required to work through during the creation process. It is this metamorphic energy that gives the exhibition its name an atypical identity.

Miljana Radenković (1989) graduated and received her master’s degree from the Faculty of Arts in Niš, study program Graphic Design. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Department of Applied Arts and Design. He works as an assistant teacher at the Department of Applied Arts at the Faculty of Arts in Niš.

She has organized twenty-six solo exhibitions in the country and participated in more than one hundred and fifty collective art exhibitions in the country and abroad. She is also the winner of several awards in the field of applied arts.
