In anticipation of celebrating the International Women’s Day, UN Women – the UN entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women, Coordination Body for Gender Equality and the Ministry of European Integration organized an event under the auspices of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia to raise awareness on gender equality, break gender stereotypes and promote women’s active role in all aspects of a society in the Nebojsa Tower on March 7.
Ms Mateja Norčič Stamčar, Milana Rikanović, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Jadranka Joksimović, Manager of the UN Women Programme Office in Serbia, Prof. Zorana Mihajlović PhD, Minister for European Integration, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality of the Government of the Republic of Serbia gave their welcome speeches to the people present.
Marija Kuprešanin, Director of the PE Belgrade Fortress attended the event on behalf of this public enterprise.
