European Researchers’ Night at Belgrade Fortress

Blog

The Music Pavilion at the Belgrade Fortress will be transformed into the “Scientific Research Pavilion” on Friday, September 24th, at 4 p.m., when the European Researchers’ Night, organized by the Center for the Promotion of Science, will be held.

European Researchers’ Night is an event dedicated to the popularization of science and learning through a practical approach, which is being held for the 12th time this year under the motto “Make it green through science”. A significant portion of all contents is organized in direct contact between the public and scientists out in the open, in various cities in Serbia.

On this occasion, together with geologists – associates of the Researchers’ Night, visitors will be able to learn which stone, originating back to the Middle Ages, can be found in the Kalemegdan Park and which limestone is part of the shoal which can be seen from the most beautiful point of Belgrade Fortress, after which a biodiversity map of the Kalemegdan Park will be made in the Pavilion.

During the breaks from the scientific walk with our researchers, we prepared a treat – the board game of “Ludo”, developed in the Makerspace of the Science Club Belgrade, and inspired by the very Belgrade Fortress.
