This is the fifth edition of the FESA (Festival of European Student Animation) organised by the Public Enterprise “Belgrade Fortress”, which was established in 2012, under the auspices of Serbian Ministry for Culture and Information. Art Director of the festival is Rastko Ćirić, professor of animation at the Faculty of Applied Arts and Vice-Rector of the University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.

The main goal of the festival is to promote the art of animation from the European countries and to create conditions that will enable the younger generation to conquer new concepts and new technologies.
The Festival of European Student Animation is going to be held in the period of August 27th to 28th 2016.

The Festival comprises of students animated films programme: two programmes of competition films and three national programmes presented by three Jury members from European countries. Until now, beside Serbia, the presented countries were Hungary, Austria, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Slovenia. This year we are presenting Germany and Italy.

This year’s competition theme is the UNIVERSE (AROUND AND WITHIN US).
