“City of Secrets” is the first novel by Zoran Lj. Nikolić. In this novel Nikolić deals with one of the greatest secrets of the Balkans – a secret grave of Attila, leader of the Huns, who was buried at the bottom of the river so no one could ever found his grave. The search for his grave continues as long as the legend lives and researchers are more and more persistent no matter that the secret escapes deeper into the historical darkness. In this novel a rich American hires a Belgrade journalist, an expert on secret history, to be a member of the team that will go on a search of Attila`s grave. But the secret of Attila`s eternal resting place is not the only secret that will follow them on their journey – it is just the beginning of something greater and more mystical – a key of all secrets.
Who are the members of a secret society, the owners of history or its secret?

Why King Aleksandar Karađorđević held a Masonic hammer in his hand while he tore down the ancient city Žrnov on Avala, to make a monument to an Unknown Soldier?

Pero Zubac wrote the following about this book: “Zoran Nikolić has written a novel about the times far beyond our existence in time and space, and what is of extreme importance for the audience, he wrote a readable and interesting book that doesn’t leave the reader indifferent or wondering”.
