On Wednesday, November 28th, 7pm at Nebojša Tower within the project “Tales of Belgrade” novel by Marko Vidojković ” Claws 2 – The dealer and death” was presented. Visitors had the chance to tell another story together with the author and to go through Belgrade that, perhaps, they hadn’t had a chance to realize.

The novel “Claws 2 – the dealer and death” covers a period of one week, more precisely from Saturday to Saturday. Each day is filled with unexpected and amazing events which are in their own way connected with the main character. Sixteen years later, the main character of the novel “Claws” became a cocaine and marijuana dealer, occasional robber and outlaw. His most loyal customer is the most popular young Serbian writer Boban Šestić. Šestić hasn’t published a new novel in years and lives on his old glory and money he receives on an account of the same. Their paths cross in the moments when Serbia is under constant UFO over flights that cause mortality in poultry when, day after day, hospitals, schools, banks disappear in arson and people are waiting in queues to jump off a bridge.

Is that the end of the world, Armageddon or a revolution? – Or is a new drug on the market responsible for this state. A black pill that dissolves in water and has an effect that everybody becomes what they should have been or what they are – honest, open-minded, like they are living in a beautiful dream that is just about to come true…

“Claws 2 – The dealer and death” is probably the most mature novel by Marko Vidojković. Dreams, reality, real and unreal humorously intertwine in the novel, suggesting that maybe there is still a chance to be better and happier. The only question is whether we are alive, dead, awake, drugged or dreaming.

Marko Vidojković was born in Belgrade in 1975. He is the author of the novel “The dance of tiny demons”, “The devil is my friend”, “Cigarette butts on the beach”, “Claws”, “Little Red Riding Hood are all the same” and “I want something good to happen to me now”, as well as short stories ” God help you”. He won the awards Golden bestseller and Kočić`s Pen for his novel “Claws” and Golden sunflower award for the novel “Little Red Riding Hood are all the same”.

The novel “Claws” was published in Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria, while the novel “The dance of tiny demons” was turned into theatre play.
