PE “Belgrade Fortress” will present a new concept of exhibitions scheduled for 2011 on Wednesday, 26 January at 2 p.m. in the Gallery of the Belgrade Fortress in the Stambol Gate. Director of PE “Belgrade Fortress” Ivana Lučić Todosić will open the program. All artists who will be exhibiting in the Gallery of the Belgrade Fortress during 2011, together with the members of the Gallery’s Arts Council will attend the opening.

Exhibition program for 2011 is designed to present small plastic art, sculpture and drawings. By the end of the year there will be precisely 13 exhibitions held – each one will last for 20 days- where artists of different styles and generations will presented their work. This will make the program versatile and interesting for both professional and general audience. Exhibition of candle sculptures, by Slovenian artist Rafael Samec, is a part of special program planned for April 2011. Apart from the artists at the beginning of their careers, Gallery in the Stambol Gate will also include exhibitions of artists whose artistic expression is very clearly positioned in the local art world.

Exhibition of mosaics and drawings by Nebojša Jocić, the first exhibition available for visitors, will be opened on Wednesday, 26January and will last until 11 February 2011. Working hours of the Gallery of the Belgrade Fortress is every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
