Minister of Culture Nebojša Bradić and Greek Ambassador to Belgrade Dimosthenis Stoidis visited Kula Nebojša in the Lower Town of the Belgrade Fortress, where the final preparations for opening a permanent exhibition in this medieval building are conducted.
Director of the PE “Belgrade Fortress” Ivana Lučić Todosić and City Secretary for Culture Ivana Avzner presented the concept of the exhibition to the Minister and the Ambassador. This exhibition will present a part of the Serbian history as well as the story of the great Greek revolutionary Rigas Feraios.
Ivana Lučić Todosić said that once the setting up of the “Greek part of the exhibition” is finished, Nebojša Tower will be ready to welcome the first visitors. She assured that the Tower, as a symbol of Belgrade, even after 550 years of existence will continue to live a different life, with new ideas in the concept of the exhibition.
“In addition to the historical significance, Nebojša Tower will be given importance as a part of contemporary cultural life in Belgrade and also become one of the most attractive facilities where visitors will be able to experience the reconstruction of past times through this unique and modern exhibition “, said the director of PE “Belgrade Fortress”.
