PE “Belgrade Fortress” will continue its extensive conservation and restoration works at ​​Belgrade Fortress, with the aim of preserving the cultural heritage and the safety of visitors. In the next few months, complete reconstruction of the complex of Sahat gate and Baroque gate will be done.

The Sahat and Baroque Gate complex is one of the great attractions and PE “Belgrade Fortress” will completely renovate this complex.

Until 1987, the Baroque gate was built and out of function, when the Belgrade Fortress Gallery was established by revitalization. The last restoration work on this complex was done in 2003, when the complex condition and necessity of additional works were determined. At that time, a temporary canopy was erected, which has been in this area for 16 years, causing rapid decay within the gates themselves, especially in the Belgrade Fortress Gallery, which is closed to visitors today.
