Belgrade Fortress and “Crowns on Rivers”

Blog

Within the project “Crowns on the Rivers”, PE “Belgrade Fortress” presented the tourist offer and potentials of Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park at the conferences held in Budapest (November 18), Bratislava (November 20) and Sandomierz ( November 22).

The conferences are part of the international project “Crowns of Rivers”, in which the fortresses of the three countries of the “Visegrad Group” participate: Sandomierz Castle (Poland), Bratislava Castle (Slovakia) and Budapest Fortress (Hungary).

The purpose of these conferences is to exchange experiences of representatives of the four fortresses, but also of the general public, with the aim of creating a new tourist offer: visiting these fortresses within a unique program, which would attract tourists from European as well as Asian countries.

The participants of the conferences and workshops had the opportunity to learn more about this project, but also to contribute with its proposals to its further development.

The project is supported by the Visegrad Fund – an international organization established by the governments of Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. The aim of the Fund is to financially support projects in 6 priority areas: culture, education and scientific cooperation, youth exchange, cross-border cooperation and tourism promotion.
