This year, the ArtLink Festival will be held at various locations in the period from 15 June to 11 September, as part of the European Festival Cities Initiative. Under the slogan Artists for Nature, the programs will take place at the Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan, the Great Concert Hall of the Kolarac Endowment, the House of the Veljković Family and at the fortresses in Golubac, Pirot and Novi Sad.
By choosing fortresses as program venues, ArtLink will join the European Festival Cities Initiative, promoting cultural heritage and cultural tourism through the synergy of cities and festivals.
The Artists for Nature Campaign, sponsored in the media by RTS, will start on 15 June at 5 pm on Kalemegdan (near the Music Pavilion), where ecology workshops on the topic of recycling will be held for the youngest citizens of Belgrade.
On that occasion, everyone who brings an empty can in for recycling will receive a free ticket for the concert in the Great Concert Hall of the Kolarac Endowment. The ArtLink Festival ensured that a special recycling container remains set up throughout the summer, thanks to cooperation with the Belgrade Fortress, Ardagh Group, the City Greenery Public Service and City Hygiene Public Service.
The music program at the fortresses will start with the performance of young violinist Dunja Kalamir, winner of the ArtLink award.
The festival will be officially opened by the RTS Symphony Orchestra led by maestro Bojan Suđić and violinist Una Stanić, as the soloist, with a concert in the Great Concert Hall of the Kolarac Endowment.
Concerts of ArtLink talents will be held at noon, on 19 and 20 June, at the Music Pavilion in Kalemegdan, where violinists Dunja Kalamir and Laura Liozi will perform with their guests and German cellist Lionel Martin.
A particularly interesting open-air festival program will be held at the Belgrade Fortress, on 28 and 29 August, with two evenings of performances by ArtLink talents – Marija Radovanović and Miona Topalović, and the final event will be held on 11 September at the Belgrade Fortress, when the Belgian Chamber Orchestra – Casco Phil will perform.
