As part of the traditional program called “Music as a gift” organized by PE “Belgrade Fortress” in cooperation with music schools in Belgrade, young talents of the Jazz Department of the Music School “Stanković” are going to present themselves on May 7th (Saturday), starting at 18:00, at the Music Pavilion on Kalemegdan. On this occasion, the Music School “Stanković” will celebrate the 111 anniversary of its existence in Belgrade, Serbia and Europe.
Proof that the Music School “Stanković” has always been focused not only on the rich past and musical legacy, but to an even higher extent on the future – is the existence of the Jazz Department of the school, established almost three decades ago, in 1993, as absolutely the first of its kind in Southeast Europe. The jazz department of the MS “Stanković” will give a show for the visitors of Kalemegdan with its attractive performance, performed by the most talented students of the department.
