The exhibition by a young artist, Tamara Njunjić, is set up and can be visited during the following month at the Gallery of the Belgrade Fortress at the Inner Stambol Gate, every day except Monday, starting from January 13th. The gallery will be open from 10 am to 5 pm, and the entrance is free.
The artist Tamara Njunjić was born on November 28th, 1990. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and earned the title of Master of Fine Arts in 2015. She has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia since 2016. So far, she has organized a large number of solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions and international colonies.
When it comes to the works of art displayed at the exhibition “Durmitor” and her work in general, the author Tamara Njunjić said:
“The inspiration for a series of paintings, and later on drawings, appeared spontaneously, in 2018, after a hiking trip and conquering the peaks of Durmitor. These paintings do not tell the story about conquered peaks, but about nature’s play with shapes and vivid colors that flow down the rocks. One needs to surrender to the nature and allow it to guide you.”
