The “Days of Belgrade” press conference was held today at the auditorium of the Belgrade City Assembly – Old Palace with regard to the event which traditionally takes place every year between April 16 and April 19.
The conference was attended by: Nikola Nikodijević – President of the Belgrade City Assembly, Andrea Radulović – Deputy President of the Belgrade City Assembly, Olivera Vučković – Director of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade, Leontina Vukomanović – Director of the Children’s Cultural Center, Mina Mendelson – Director of St George’s Strings and Marija Kuprešanin – Director of PE “Belgrade Fortress”.
At this press conference an innovative project HistoricAR was presented; it had been implemented by PE “Belgrade Fortress”, owing to the funding from the budget of the City of Belgrade.
HistoricAR is the name of an innovative mobile application that uses artificial intelligence and extended reality. It will be available on iOS (Apple/Iphone) and Android operating systems and it will be very simple to use. The application aims to use medium mobile cameras to recognize a historical or cultural object at the Belgrade Fortress or Kalemegdan Park and display an accompanying text about the object, as well as complementary scenes with the graphic display in real physical environment.
Apart from Serbian, the application is completed in four global languages and will surely contribute to a new experience and understanding of tourists and visitors.
This is one of the first artificial intelligence projects trained on a supercomputer for artificial intelligence in Kragujevac by NewCo domestic start-up.
NOTE: HistoricAR application will be available for users starting from April 16 this year, the starting day of the “Days of Belgrade” event.
