It represents the location where sultan Abdul Azis’s firman was read on April 6/19th, 1867 and where prince Mihailo received keys to the town form Turkish commander Ali Pasha Riza. This memorial, built by sculptor Mihailo Paunovic, was erected to commemorate the centenary of the event.
