The Fourth Danube Fest, a festival of Danube cultures, was held at the Belgrade Fortress from 5th to 13th of September. France-Serbia relations in World War I were a central theme of this year’s Danube Fest, in view of the centenary celebrations.

At the opening of the Festival, Serbian eminent artists (soprano Katarina Jovanovic , pianist Dejan Sinadinović , young flute player Simonida Jovanovic and LP Duo comprised of pianists Sonja Loncar and Andrija Pavlovic) performed the music of French authors . The second night of the Festival was dedicated to the old city music, which are introduced by the students of solo singing.

In cooperation with the publishing house CLIO , promotion of the book ” Sarajevo omnibus ” was held at the Nebojsa Tower. The author of the book is Velibor Colic, who lives and works in France. The festival was closed on Saturday, September 13 outside the Military Museum, with a screening of Grand Illusion, a 1937 film by the famous Jean Renoir that carries a strong anti-war message and speaks about the illusion of conflict, war and everything associated with war.

The festival is organized by the PE “Belgrade fortress” and the NGO Danubefest.
