As a part of its regular program, PE ‘Belgrade Fortress’ has organized Summer Playground for Children at the Upper Town of the Belgrade Fortress throughout July and August 2010, where children were able to learn about old and almost forgotten toys, as well as old games played in the past by their peers.

These items/toys, which our youngest citizens used to play with, were created in the Old Crafts Workshop opened by the PE`Belgrade Fortress` in the Inner Stambol Gate at the end of 2008. The toys were handmade by craftsmen who have been introducing their skills to the visitors of the Belgrade Fortress in the recent period.

Children played with rag balls and dolls, wooden horses and other toys used for playing in the old days. Staff trained for working with children created games and played with kids three times a week (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).
