Public Enterprise was founded by the Decision of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade on establishing Public enterprise for the activities of general interest to the City of Belgrade “Belgrade Fortress” No. 3-208/02-XII-01 of July 12th 2002 (“Official Gazette of the City of Belgrade” No. 12/02, corrigendum No.21/02), as amended by the Decisions No. 3-551/02-XII-01 of October 11th2002 (“Official Gazette of the City of Belgrade” No. 24/02), No. 6-626/09-S of June 23th 2009 (“Official Gazette of the City of Belgrade” No. 34/09), No. 3-410/12-S of September 27th 2012 (“Official Gazette of the City of Belgrade” No. 51/12), Decision amending Memorandum of association of the Public Company No. 3-139/13-S of March 22th 2013 (“Official Gazette of the City of Belgrade” No. 10/13) and the Decree on amending the Decision amending the Memorandum of association the Public Enterprise for the activities of general interest to the City of Belgrade “Belgrade Fortress” No. 3-33/13-S-20 of March 22th 2013 (“Official Gazette of the City of Belgrade” No. 54 /13).

Public Enterprise was entered into the register of the Commercial Court in Belgrade, registry sheet no. 1-88351-00, ref. no. XI Fi 100003/02 of October 1st 2002 and into the Business Register of the Business Registers Agency by the Decision No. BD 12549/2005 of April 25th 2005.

Public enterprise performs activities of general interest to the City of Belgrade and other artistic activities within the scope of performance activities.

In addition to its main activities Public Enterprise performs other activities that accompany activities entered into the Business Register and which are usually performed alongside aforementioned activities on a smaller scale or periodically.

Public Enterprise performs its activities at the grounds and facilities of Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park – entered into the Land Register under the No. 1542, Cadastral Municipality Stari Grad, which were entrusted to the management of the Public Enterprise “Belgrade Fortress” by the Decision of the Executive Board of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade No. 463-2205/03-IO of August 29th 2003 and the Decision on amending the said Decision of the Executive Board of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade No. 463-3210/04-IO of September 13th 2004.

In the area of Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, entrusted to the management of the Public Enterprise, there is a physical and technical security service ensuring the safety of monuments and visitors 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Governance of the public enterprise is organized as a one-tier system.

Governing bodies of the Public Enterprise are the Supervisory Board and the Director.
